Delete Your Fern Account
Fern by ElevenApril · Last updated: October 15, 2026
This page explains how to delete the account you created in Fern (developed by ElevenApril), and what happens to your data. You can do this inside the app, or ask us to do it for you if you no longer have the app installed.
Option 1: Delete in the app
- Open Fern and go to Settings.
- Tap your account at the top to open Account.
- Tap Delete Account, type
DELETEto confirm, then tap Delete permanently.
Your account is deleted immediately.
Option 2: Request deletion by email
If you can't access the app, email [email protected] with the subject "Fern account deletion request". Send it from the email address of the Google or Apple account you signed in with, or include the phone number you registered with, so we can find your account. We will delete it within 30 days and reply to confirm.
What gets deleted
- Your account and sign-in identity (Google, Apple or phone sign-in)
- Profile information (nickname, avatar)
- Signed-in device records
- Membership status, subscription and order records stored on our servers
What is not deleted
- Plant data on your device (plants, records, photos) is stored locally and is not affected by deleting your account. You can remove it by deleting it in the app or uninstalling the app.
- Purchase records held by Google Play or Apple are kept by those stores under their own policies. Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription — cancel it in Google Play or App Store subscription settings first. Unused subscription time is not refunded.
- Anonymous usage statistics (Google Analytics), which are not linked to your account, are retained for a limited period under our Google Analytics data-retention setting and then deleted automatically.
