Welcome to StaghornPal (hereinafter referred to as "the App"). The App is developed and operated by ElevenApril. Please read the following Terms of Service carefully before using the App. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Service Description
StaghornPal is a plant care tracking app designed specifically for staghorn fern (Platycerium) enthusiasts, offering the following core features:
- Plant profile management and collection tracking.
- Growth tracking with photo timelines.
- Care reminders (watering, fertilizing, etc.).
- Species identification and database lookup.
- Cross-device data syncing (iOS via iCloud, Android via cloud sync services).
2. Account and Usage
2.1 Usage Requirements
No account registration is required to use the App's basic features. For iOS users, data syncing relies on your Apple ID and iCloud service; for Android users, data syncing may require signing into a corresponding account. Please keep your account secure, as your plant data is associated with it.
2.2 Acceptable Use
You agree to:
- Use the App only for lawful purposes and personal use.
- Not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
- Not use the App for any activity that infringes on the rights of others.
- Not upload illegal, infringing, or inappropriate content.
3. Subscription Services
3.1 Free and Premium Versions
StaghornPal offers a free basic version and a paid premium version (StaghornPal Pro). The free version allows you to manage up to 10 plants and access core features. The premium version provides unlimited plants, batch import, advanced statistics, and other enhanced features.
3.2 Subscription Terms
- The premium version is available as a monthly or annual subscription.
- Subscription fees are charged through the payment method associated with your Apple ID or Google account.
- Subscriptions automatically renew within 24 hours before the end of the current period, unless you cancel beforehand.
- iOS users can manage or cancel subscriptions in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions; Android users can manage subscriptions in Google Play's Subscriptions section.
3.3 Refund Policy
For subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play, refund requests must be submitted through the respective platform's official channels.
4. User Content
4.1 Content Ownership
All content you create in the App (including plant photos, care records, notes, etc.) belongs to you. We do not claim ownership of any user content.
4.2 Content Storage
Your content is stored locally on your device and in the corresponding platform's cloud service (iCloud for iOS, app-provided cloud sync for Android). We minimize server-side data storage. Please make sure to back up your important data.
5. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the App (including but not limited to software code, interface design, icons, text content, and species database) belong to ElevenApril and its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or otherwise use these materials without written permission.
The care guides, species information, and other educational content on Staghornfern.org are copyrighted by Staghornfern.
6. Disclaimers
6.1 Care Advice
The care information and suggestions provided by the App are for reference only and do not constitute professional horticultural advice. Plant care is affected by various environmental factors, and actual results may vary depending on region, climate, species, and other conditions. We are not liable for any plant loss resulting from following advice provided in the App.
6.2 Service Availability
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We will make reasonable efforts to ensure service stability, but do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We are not liable for service interruptions caused by system maintenance, upgrades, or force majeure events.
6.3 Data Security
While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. We are not liable for data loss caused by cloud service failures or device damage. We recommend backing up your important data regularly.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ElevenApril and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of or inability to use the App, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, or business interruption.
8. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the modified terms. If there are significant changes, we will notify you through an in-app notification.
9. Termination
You may terminate your use at any time by uninstalling the App. We also reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App if you violate these terms. Upon termination, the provisions regarding intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability shall remain in effect.
10. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the People's Republic of China. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved through amicable negotiation; if negotiation fails, either party may file a lawsuit with a court of competent jurisdiction.
