About StaghornPal

Record every frond's growth

StaghornPal is a native iOS app designed for staghorn fern enthusiasts. It helps you escape the chaos of your photo library by creating dedicated digital profiles for each of your staghorn ferns, preserving those subtle but touching moments of growth.

Why StaghornPal?

Reject complexity, embrace growth

Most plant apps feel like cold production management systems—complex operations, redundant information. We want StaghornPal to be clean and elegant, like a simple greenhouse label that only records what matters most to you.

Track your “dwarf guarantee” commitment

When you get that long-awaited dwarf variety, most sellers emphasize “guaranteed dwarf, take photos every 10 days/half month.” But when your collection grows to dozens or even hundreds of plants, searching through your photo album becomes like finding a needle in a haystack. We need an organized space where every plant’s growth journey is clearly visible.

Connect every “highlight moment”

The most captivating thing about staghorn ferns is the surprise they bring at different stages—from the first round shield frond to the elegant unfurling of fertile fronds. It’s easy to snap photos, but to connect these scattered moments into a timeline, we need a dedicated archive space, not just photos lost in a chaotic camera roll.

What StaghornPal is NOT

We believe: To do one thing well, you must let go of many others.

Not a social app

We understand that the deepest connections often happen in chat groups or in person. StaghornPal chooses to stay quiet, not interrupting your independent thinking. This is your private garden with your plants, not a stage for seeking likes.

Not a care guide app

Every grower’s environment (lighting, ventilation, humidity) is unique. We believe you know your plants best. Rather than following generic rules, asking experienced collectors or discussing in communities is a better path to solutions—and the beginning of deeper connections with fellow enthusiasts.

Not a watering/fertilizing reminder app

Staghorn ferns have their own rhythm. When to water shouldn’t be decided by phone notifications, but by observing leaf tension and feeling the moisture in the moss. We reject the “every three days” alarm approach, hoping you’ll rediscover that authentic sense of “seeing with your eyes, feeling with your hands” through recording.

Our Vision

What StaghornPal wants to do is accompany you in recording.

Looking back at each staghorn fern, you’ll see not just photos, but how this plant journeyed through the seasons—and the quiet self who observed its growth.
